Sarah is a newspaper reporter-turned student teacher who loves to know what's going on in her community. She previously wrote for Silicon Valley Community Newspapers and The Milpitas Post. She covered general news in San Jose, education, sports, and features in Milpitas. While Journalism was her first love, she was more than a little jaded as she tried to swim through the tumultuous waves of change in the world of Journalism in Silicon Valley. Between the measly salary and the fear of being laid off, she called it quits and went back to SJSU to pursue a teaching credential. She's currently in the midst of her student teaching at Independence High School, and will be at Milpitas High to finish off the school year. She's not sure which will be more difficult, surviving the South Bay on a $13.00 an hour salary, or showing ninth graders that Shakespeare is still relevant ...
