Sunday, December 31, 2017 Christmas in the Park presents a New Year’s Eve East Coast Countdown.  This free event begins at 7:00pm and continues until just past midnight. Christmas in the Park is open on New Year’s Eve, December 31, from 9:00am.

There will be a special family oriented attraction from 7:00-9:00pm, conduct an “East Coast” countdown and then live music until the new year.

A free Lunar New Year celebration at the San Jose Museum of Art Saturday, January 28, 2017 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

This family-friendly celebration honors the various Lunar New Year traditions including Vietnam, China, and Japan.

11 AM – 4:30 PM Hands-on art-making for all ages.
Design a noise-maker that mimics the sound of a rooster. Hey, it is The Year of the Rooster.
Create a paper lantern with a Lunar New Year-themed cutout design.

3:30 – 4:30 PM: Rising Phoenix Lion Dance Association will perform a traditional lion dance. The performance will take place in the City View Plaza. Located across Market Street from the Museum. In the event of rain, a demonstration will take place in the Museum’s First Floor, Lobby.
