San Jose Bike Party ~ The Legs Ride
Tonight “The Legs Ride” will start in the parking lot behind the Asian American Community Center.
When: June 15th at 8 PM
Where: Back lot at 2400 Moorpark Ave., San Jose.
If you don’t want to put on your leg revealing outfit and join the party it is always good to know their route.
Most of the riders try to be safe and courteous, but it can be a frustrating experience for auto traffic.
The Legs Ride – the route:
From behind VMC, down Moorpark, through Santana Row
Winchester to Forest
down Bascom to Union to 85.
then Samaritan to Bascom
up Union and through downtown Campbell
then Saratoga Ave to Payne to Winchester to Moorpark behind VMC

What you did tonight was endanger yourself and others. Saw many
riders without helmuts, rude and obnoxious behavior, poorly lit
riders and bikes. Get the adrenaline rush, have done some long
distance rides and totally get it. Think this is an accident
waiting to happen, should be ashamed of yourselves.
Yes, I do agree with you. What started out as a fun event has
become way too large and unruly. The main point of my post was to
alert drivers. I find it a good idea to check their site and then
keep clear of the “party”. My daughter rode with them a few times.
I was happy when she got over it.
I did not see safe behavior tonight. Just a bunch of rowdies giving
bike riders a bad name. They should have been arrested.
The next time I speak with Mayor Reed or Chief Moore I will voice
your concerns. I would like to know why The City of San José
tolerates this disturbance and if a special events permit is
required. I have many questions.
Very disappointed in the bikers. Two years in a row now where they
were loud and unruly WELL PAST MIDNIGHT. I live along their route,
and they were acting like hooligans. Why the extremely loud,
amplified music? Why crowd the road? “Share the road” works both
ways, folks. I’m just glad I wasn’t trying to drive through that
mess. As someone who bikes himself, I am ashamed of the behavior I
saw.
Check out the comments left on their site. Some unhappy people.
