Silicon Valley Moms Blog to close

The Silicon Valley Moms Group announced in a press release a couple of weeks ago that they will close their 13-city blogging network, including Silicon Valley Moms Blog, by the end of July. Silicon Valley Moms Group itself, a private company, expects to close down all operations by September. I’m sorry to see them go, because they were one of the most consistently well-written and professionally presented of our local blogs. Silicon Valley Moms Blog had what seemed like dozens of writers, and each one had an interesting perspective on Silicon Valley life, usually with a focus on parenting. Even though I’m not a parent, I still read the blog regularly.

If you haven’t been reading Silicon Valley Mom’s Blog, I recommend you take a browse through their archives before they’re gone. And I wish best of luck to all the mom-bloggers who will be looking for new outlets for their writing talents.
