One Night Stand

I have to admit, sometimes I forget about the San Jose Museum of Art. I learn about exhibits or events, become interested and intend on attending… only to forget shortly thereafter and then completely miss something cool. I came across this information from another blog I read and thought I’d share it with everyone.

The San Jose Museum of Art will be hosting a series of exhibits, now through March of next year, as part of a public program supporting contemporary artists.

From the SJMA site itself:
“One Night Stand is a series of one-night mini-exhibitions curated around the theme ‘What connects the Bay Area community?’ … SJMA has conceived of the visitor experience as the way to open an ongoing dialogue among art, artists, and museum audiences. To this end, each artist will be available throughout the night to encourage participation with their work and talk to visitors about their work.”

Where: San Jose Museum of Art
When: Thursday, June 7
Time: 6-8pm
Theme: Identity

Future exhibits dates and themes:

October 18, 2007: Place
March 6, 2008: Soul
